When asked to define this Bugaboo Fox in one sentence, I would say it is a premium single and convertible stroller. Its basic set includes both a toddler seat and a bassinet. This means you can start using it immediately from birth with the aid of its bassinet. There are several infant car seats that are compatible with it. This means you can also use it as a travel system.
So it is a pretty complete stroller. However, it is not an expandable one. So if you expect your young family to grow soon, it is probably not the most ideal stroller for you to buy now.

This stroller has many fantastic features. Below are some of the key ones:
The Toddler Seat
This stroller comes with a seat that is perfect for toddlers. The seat can be used from the moment the baby gains head and neck control (about four months) and can be used for ages (until the baby turns three or four years old.
The maximum weight capacity of this Bugaboo Fox toddler seat is forty-five pounds. In addition to its high weight, this toddler seat is also very spacious; it is 10.2″ deep and 14″ wide.
There are several things that you will love about this toddler seat. Chief among them is the fact that the seat is reversible. So you can detach it and attach it in reverse. This is great because as babies grow older they become more interested in seeing the world than in facing their parents. So having a seat that is reversible like the one on this stroller allows them to do just that.
Another thing that you will love about this stroller is the fact that it can recline. It can recline to three different positions. The seat has the bucket like design that allows the whole of it to recline and not just the backrest as is the case with other toddler seats. This makes it more comfortable for the baby.
Moreover, it can be reclined one-handedly. You just have to squeeze the lever behind it to get it to the most comfortable position for your baby. So it is very convenient to use.
The seat’s deepest recline may not be deep enough/ flat enough to carry a newborn. However, it is comfortable enough for a 4-month old baby to nap on.

What I love the most about the Bugaboo Fox toddler seat is not how deep it reclines but how straight it is when set upright. Its upright position is just perfect for the baby to sit on comfortably for an extended period of time. This is great as babies, especially toddlers, usually love seeing everything and discovering their world when out and about.
Besides the unique features described above, this toddler seat also comes with a bumper bar. Unlike other bumper bars that cannot be removed, this one rotates and makes it easy and fast to put in or remove the baby from the seat. Your baby can hold onto the bar during trips.

The Bugaboo Fox toddler seat is also pretty safe. This is because it comes with an adjustable, five-point safety harness. The harness is pretty easy to lock and to unlock. The fact that it is adjustable makes it more comfortable for the baby and it means the baby can grow with it.
One last thing about this toddler seat. In contrast to other toddler seats, this one is positioned pretty high on the frame. This makes it easier to place the baby on it or to remove him or her. No need to bend too much – a perfect feature especially for moms or dads with back problems.
The Canopy
Most Bugaboo strollers have got amazing oversized canopies and this one is no different. Its canopy is enormous and provides great shade and cover.
The canopy is expandable. When expanded it covers almost the entire toddler seat providing the baby with maximum cover from bright sunlight or the wind.
It is unfortunate that although perfectly oversized, the canopy on the Bugaboo Fox does not come with a peek-a-boo mesh window. It is unfortunate in the sense that it prevents you from constantly keeping an eye on your young one; you have to go around to monitor your baby.

The bassinet
The Bugaboo Fox comes with one of the finest bassinets you will ever see on a stroller. The bassinet makes it possible to use this stroller from birth; it is what makes it convertible.
Why do I call the Bugaboo Fox bassinet one of the finest bassinets? Because of several reasons.
First, it is made in such a way that makes it easy to attach to the frame of the stroller. In fact, it is so easy to attach that it will take you barely 20 seconds to do it.
Second, it is a very spacious bassinet. Your newborn will love sleeping or resting in it. In addition to being spacious, it is also comfy and at the same time firm enough to provide your baby with proper support for proper growth and development.
Third, the bassinet comes with a massive canopy. And just like the toddler seat canopy, this one too is extendable. You can extend it to provide your newborn baby with maximum protection from the wind and sun.

The Handlebar
The Bugaboo Fox features an innovative handlebar that can be extended. At its lowest height, it is 34.5 inches from the ground. It can be extended up to 42.5 inches.
What this means is that parents of all heights can set the handlebar to just the right height to make it comfortable and convenient for them to push it, which is pretty cool.

Extending the handlebar is a breeze. You just need to unlock the handlebar and slide it out to the perfect height for you and then lock it.
Like the bumper bar, this handlebar also comes with a faux leather finish that gives it a premium appearance.
The Wheels
The wheels on the Bugaboo Fox stroller are pretty special. They are big and special foam wheels that provide the same kind of cushion as inflatable wheels. The fact that they are foam wheels means you do not need to inflate them every now and then. It also means that you do not need to worry about them getting punctured when you are out and about.
What you will like the most about them is how smoothly they handle rough terrain. You will also love how agile they make this stroller.
The front two wheels can swivel for better maneuvering. Alternatively, they can be locked for steadiness when pushing the stroller on rough or bumpy terrain.
In addition to the cushion provided by this stroller’s wheels, there is also the shock-absorption provided by its brilliant suspension system. The net effect is a stable and comfortable stroller that your baby will enjoy riding in.
The big wheels and the brilliant suspension system ensure that this stroller glides easily over pavements, cracked sidewalks, cobbled streets, gravel, grass, packed sand, and so on.
However, even though the Bugaboo Fox comes with big wheels and a fine suspension system, it is not a jogger. You should, therefore, not go jogging with it as it is not designed for jogging. Joggers usually have bigger and inflatable wheels.
As you can see in the photo above, this stroller’s back wheels are bigger than the front ones. They offer more stability. Moreover, the stroller’s front wheels can be collapsed to leave the back wheels only. This will make them easier to move through sand and snow. However, the stroller is heavier and less steady in this position. So only set the stroller in the position if you really need to.

The Parking Brake
One of the features that really stand out on this stroller is its packing brake. The parking brake is brilliant and foot operated.
To engage it, you simply need to press it. To release it, you simply need to press it again. This means you can operate it easily regardless of the kind of shoes you are wearing it.
Moreover, it is perfectly sized to make it easy to use. This is unlike other stroller parking brakes that are small and sometimes necessitate bending all the way down to apply.
One more thing I have to mention about this stroller’s awesome parking brake is that it comes with color indicators. The indicators will go red when you have applied the parking brake correctly. When you release the brake, the indicators will go green. Their addition to the brakes provides users with a peace of mind and increases the overall safety of the stroller.
The storage basket
This stroller has a pretty decent storage basket. Compared to other baskets of similarly sized strollers, it is pretty big; has a capacity of twenty-two pounds. The size of it means it can carry even a big diaper bag. So you can pretty much carry everything your baby will need in the basket when going for long strolls or day trips.

Folding the Bugaboo Fox is a breeze. You only need a bit of practice but you will quickly understand and master how to do it quickly. It won’t take you more than two weeks, I promise.
Once folded, the stroller, automatically locks itself in the position making it easy to lift, carry or store.

As stated, a few moments ago, this stroller can be folded with its toddler seat or bassinet on. However, folding it with either the seat or the bassinet attached is not really efficient. The folded unit will still occupy some space. Nevertheless, when you fold the stroller with either of the two, it means that you will not have to go through the hassle of reattaching the seat or the bassinet again the next time you need the stroller.
When folded without the seat or the bassinet, the Bugaboo Fox becomes very compact. It becomes small enough to fit easily into most small car trunks.

As mentioned earlier, the Bugaboo Fox is an upgrade of the Bugaboo Buffalo. So if you have used the Buffalo before and you liked it, then you will like the Fox even more for most of its features are same as those on the Buffalo but improved either functionally or aesthetically.

As you can see the three Bugaboo strollers above are all pretty decent machines. However, in my opinion, the Bugaboo Fox is miles ahead of the other strollers in terms of style, looks, and functionality.
The Bugaboo Fox versus the UPPAbaby VISTA
In this section, I will be comparing the Fox versus what is arguably one of the world’s best strollers, the 2018 UPPAbaby VISTA. Both are premium quality strollers. Both are also multifunctional. Thus, on the surface, it would seem as if the UPPAbaby VISTA and the Bugaboo Fox are inseparable. However, the table below shows that they are different in several ways:
From the differences above, it is still difficult to choose which one between the Bugaboo Fox and the UPPAbaby VISTA is the better stroller. In my opinion, the best stroller for you between the two will depend on what you want a stroller for.
The main difference between the UPPAbaby VISTA and the Bugaboo Fox is versatility. The VISTA is more versatile than the Fox. This is because while the VISTA is a fully convertible and expandable stroller, the Fox is just a convertible stroller. You can expand the VISTA into a twin stroller, unlike the Fox which can also be used as a single stroller.

In terms of terrain, both strollers can handle most terrains. Nevertheless, the Fox is considered to have a better weight distribution and suspension system that makes it ride more effortlessly on bumpy surfaces when compared to the VISTA.
The Fox also handles sand and snow better. Furthermore, unlike the VISTA, the Fox has the two-wheel mode that is convenient for dragging the stroller along, bringing it upstairs, or dragging it over the beach or snow.

What to have in mind before buying this stroller
Even though the Bugaboo Fox is a premium all-terrain stroller, it will bounce around a bit when you take it on pretty rough roads. This is because it is not designed to ride smoothly on such terrains. So if you frequently have to pass through very bumpy terrains, you may need to get yourself a jogger with bigger and inflatable tires.
You should also keep in mind that this stroller is also one of the priciest ones. It costs more than a thousand bucks, which is pretty expensive compared to other strollers (including the UPPAbaby VISTA).
